Qualitative and energy efficient lighting at Kymenlaakso Hospital

Kymenlaakso Hospital is one of the largest hospitals in the south eastern region of Finland. The hospital is being completely refurbished and the project began in 2017 and will last until 2024. Aura Light has supplied about 200 high quality luminaires to the first steps of the renovation project.

Aura Light has supplied the hospital with qualitative and energy efficient luminaires for several different areas, such as waiting rooms, surgery rooms, corridors, circulation areas and conference rooms. The hospital is more than 55 000 m2 and that includes both the renovation area of the old part of the hospital as well as the extension of the building. The project is large, and the refurbishment is therefore divided into several different stages over a 6-year period. Aura Light delivered approximately 200 luminaires to the first 2 areas of the project in years 2019 and 2020.

-    High quality and cost efficiency were the main reasons for choosing Aura Lights products. Collaboration with Aura Light worked seamlessly and the installation stayed on schedule, explains Tuomo Pasonen, responsible at the installation firm Sähköneliö Oy.

Products installed were both pendant design luminaires and LED-panels, but also wall luminaires and universal luminaires for open spaces.
