Amerikanska gymnasiet, a high school in Stockholm, is beautifully located on Mälaren's shore in refurbished premises. The school has invested in creating pleasant environments for students to stay in that stimulate learning and concentration. Here, upgrading to modern lighting has played a significant role. With the Cellini LED panel, the high school now has an energy-smart and optimized lighting solution that is well suited for studies.

There used to be old pendant fluorescent luminaires in the classrooms that eventually were outdated. Modern, energy-efficient LED lighting was to replace the old lighting, and Stefan Axelsson from AV-Line AB go the job to find a suitable proposal.

-    After we had set our budget, we started looking around for different proposals. We have worked a lot with LED panels but wanted to bring in something new. Bosse from Aura Light suggested Cellini and sent over a sample that we and the principal had a look at. It fitted in very well and gave a good light in the classrooms, says Stefan.

Cellini is an elegant LED panel, that, unlike classic panels, has a special centre grid and lens optics that provide both glare-free lighting and high color rendering, but also a new, exciting architectural design.

-    We are very positive about Cellini and satisfied with our choice, Stefan continues. It was easy to install, has proven to be reliable and gives a lot of light for the money.

Cellini is installed in several classrooms and study rooms, just as the downlight Salix is ​​installed in corridors, libraries and public spaces, among other things. To optimize the lighting for different work tasks and personal preferences, the lighting in the classrooms and study rooms can be dimmed.

-    Students love that the lighting is dimmable! says Anna-Lena Bresell, principal at the school. In the small study rooms, they can dim and adjust the light themselves according to their liking and tasks, and many find that they concentrate better in dimmed light. The teachers also regulate the lighting according to tasks in the classroom.

With modern LED lighting with presence detection and control, the school has also received more environmentally friendly and cost-effective lighting.

-    It is good for the conscience and environmental awareness to know that we now have LED and that we do not use more energy than we need thanks to this solution. We are really pleased with the lighting, summarizes Anna-Lena.
