A perfect luminous surface

There are mainly three things that are crucial if you want to achieve an even lighting surface; type of optics, the height of the luminaire and the distance between the diodes (LED chip). A luminaire with such a low profile as Kvill requires that the diodes are placed tightly to get an even light over the entire surface. On the inside of the luminaire there is also an angled reflector ring that helps to get even light all the way to the edges.

Kvill is available in several variants with different luminous flux. The LED modules are specially developed for the luminaire.
   - We use the latest technology of LED chips (diodes). These are double-chipped, which provides a higher luminous efficacy. The LED chip maintains a low temperature and together with good optics you get an efficient luminaire, says Marcus Leander who works with light and heat measurement.

Kvill is available with two different types of optics, microprism and an opal diffuser. The variants with microprism are adapted for office environments and provide a directional light. This means that they meet the requirements for good antiglare (UGR 19). The opal diffuser gives a greater scattering of light. They are adapted to meet the requirements for public spaces where people are in motion, such as corridors and open areas. What you choose depends on which spaces the luminaire is to be placed in.
    - Good optics simply means that the light ends up where it should, Marcus concludes.
