In practice, the terms are often used interchangeably. However, wall luminaire is the more technical and correct term, encompassing the entire electrical unit, including the lamp holder, housing, and connections. Wall lamp is a more common, everyday term and often refers to more decorative models.
Wall luminaires are also an excellent choice for outdoor lighting. Place them near entrances, patio doors, or along the façade to create a safe and welcoming environment. Outdoor luminaires must have a high IP rating—IP44 or higher—to withstand the Nordic climate.
