Aura Light launches a new flexible downlight serie

2024 04 18

Aura Light's product team in Vimmerby in Sweden has developed a new high-performance downlight, Brahe, which combines design with functionality to meet the needs of public environments. Brahe comes in two sizes, which opens up for unique and customized lighting solutions thanks to its modular functionality. The luminaire is inspired by the Brahehus castle ruin in Sweden where the shape of the ruin and the incidence of light have been a source of inspiration.

In developing Brahe the focus was on exploring the possibilities of light with the intention of creating a lighting solution that is both flexible and visually appealing. Many public environments are dominated by uniform lighting where LED panels are common. With Brahe we have developed an alternative that can complement or replace traditional LED panels. By offering Brahe in two different formats, which opens up a flexibility that makes it possible to customize unique solutions.

 - Brahe is easy to integrate into existing ceilings and can be installed as a single or in clusters. The only limit is your creativity in how you choose to combine the different formats and designs with each other. Regardless of the choice Brahe comes into its own as a solitaire as well as in a group installation, explains Martin Klippel, product manager for Brahe.

With its low weight and simple construction Brahe is very easy to install. Its elegant and minimalist design combined with its high quality optical properties provide a pleasant light distribution. Brahe is equipped with the highest quality advanced lens technology for optimal light distribution with minimal glare. In addition, Brahe uses the latest LED technology with the most efficient diodes on the market for maximum efficiency and high light quality.

- Brahe is not only characterized by its flexibility but also by its high quality features that ensure long life and high performance without compromising on the technical lighting aspects. With Brahe you get a really good general lighting with an optic that stands out, Martin Klippel concludes.

Brahe is designed and developed by our product team in Vimmerby where it is also produced. Most of the components are produced or originate in Northern Europe to ensure short transportation routes and high quality materials. Our self-developed luminaires are named after inspiring places in nature, preferably in our local area. Brahe is therefore named after the Brahehus castle ruin near Gränna in Sweden.
