Meeting rooms that invite to interactivity
A lighting solution with Tunable White and smart lighting control was a matter of course from the start to the new meeting room in Coor's head office.
Coor is a facility management supplier in the Nordic region that assists companies with services and solutions to optimize offices and properties to meet the needs of employees and create a sustainable solution. In Coor's own head office located in modern facilities in Kista, examples are given of how they have optimized their premises for different needs. During the autumn of 2020, Tomas Hultgren and Mattias Wahlgren from COOR designed and equipped a new meeting room for the head office with a focus on interaction and teamwork.
- We chose to skip the traditional elongated meeting table that creates a distance and obstacles between the people in the room. Instead, we chose a more open planning with individual tables and chairs in a circle that invites collaboration in a completely different way, says Mattias.

With the vision of creating a space that encourages interactivity, the choice fell naturally on human centric lighting. The room is equipped with Aura Lunaria LED panels with Tunable White as well as downlights. In addition, the Illustris wireless control panel was chosen, which allows you to manually adjust the color temperature and light level as desired, but also to pre-program four different light scenarios adapted for different occasions. This solution is optimal for a room like this that will be used for several different activities - from traditional presentations on the big screen to workshops and discussions. The light can easily be regulated and adjusted to support the task and based on the time of day. There are already plans for equipping more rooms in the headquarter with Tunable White.
- The first time the room was used, it was early morning and the lighting was set to full power with a cold white light. At lunchtime when the meeting participants came out of the room, they were lyrical about the invigorating effect the lighting had given and the kickstart to the day they had received. Tunable White has really been appreciated by our employees, Mattias concludes. |
