Energy efficient lighting for electricity trading company Bixia

Bixia is a Swedish electricity trading company focusing on locally produced and renewable energy. At their head office in Linköping, focus is not only on sustainability and energy, but also on creating a stylish and pleasant working environment for their employees.

At Tekniska verken in Linköping you will find Aura Light's lighting installed in most of the building. Usually you’ll find the classic white luminaires, but when you come to the department where Bixias has its headquarters, you will instead be met by a colorful alternative.

In connection with the renovations in 2018, Bixia took the opportunity to install new lighting. An important aspect of the choice of the new lighting was that it shall follow Bixia's graphic profile and interior design, while creating optimal light for work in the open office landscapes. Based on the graphical guideline as well as interior details, lighting designer Mikael Lennartson at Aura Light produced a proposal where he tailored a lighting solution based on Bixia's wishes. When Jenny McDaniel, Bixia's Lead and Communication Coordinator got to see the 3D renderings, the choice became easy.
- We are very pleased with the lighting and the whole renovation of the office, Jenny says. The luminaires in the office area are in the same color as our color profile and fits very well with us!

With the circular luminaire Notum in orange placed at focal points, and the pendant Exzite in petrol blue above all desks, the luminaires illuminate the office surfaces in more ways than with only light. They are part of the decor. In the meeting room and corridor there is the LED panel Aura Lunaria mounted together with the downlight Aperius.
- As a lighting designer, light is always at the center of the experience when creating an environment. In Bixia's office, with the help of the lighting, I wanted to create space in the room and highlight places for quick meetings, work and rest, Mikael explains about his thoughts behind the lighting design.

The energy-efficient luminaires with good anti-glare, create a pleasant and comfortable light adapted for office work. In addition, Exzite is equipped with a dimmable pull switch, which allows employees to easily adjust the brightness above their work place.
