Clear Channel has 25 000 outdoor advertising displays all over Sweden, illuminated by Aura Long Life fluorescent lamps.

Clear Channel is one of the leading media corporations in the world with branches in 64 countries. In Sweden Clear Channel has 25 000 outdoor advertising displays which are illuminated by 100 000 fluorescent lamps. – When we installed standard fluorescent lamps we were forced to replace them every second year. But five, six years ago we changed to Aura Long Life fluorescent lamps. We are very satisfied. Aura Long Life has a significant better service life and is therefore the most economical solution for us, says Christer Lantz, technical manager at Clear Channel.
Joint development
Clear Channel has established a close cooperation with Aura. Since it is important colours and logotypes are illuminated the way media agencies want and the fluorescent lamps need to tolerate severe winter cold, a continuous development of different types of signs and lighting is constantly in progress. – Aura helps us design the lighting for our new signs. Our architects are working directly with the Aura factory in Karlskrona, because there the employees have a great knowledge of lighting, says Christer Lantz. In most of their signs Clear Channel has a fluorescent lamp specifically designed for environments where the ambient temperature is low, Aura Thermo Long Life. They also use the new Aura T5 Thermo Long Life and adapted versions of Aura Signette Long Life to give internally illuminated signs a uniform distribution of light. – Aura has an excellent product, there is no one like it on the market, states Christer Lantz. We rather pay extra for the lamp, because it is not the lamp that is costly, it is the replacement.
