Aura starts cooperation with Climate Care
The lighting company Aura has started cooperation with Climate Care in the UK. The purpose is to make Aura’s Long Life products CO2-neutral, minimise the carbon footprint and work towards a sustainable society.
Aura supplies Long Life light sources and lighting solutions. With a lifetime that is at least three times longer, both maintenance and the environmental impact are reduced to a third. With the lighting solutions the energy consumption can also be reduced with up to 50 percent, thus reducing the energy costs and carbon footprint even further.
Aura has now started cooperation with the environmental organisation Climate Care. Through Climate Care Aura is offsetting the carbon footprint that is generated in the production and transport of Aura’s Long Life light sources.
– Through our contribution to Climate Care’s sustainable energy projects we neutralise parts of the carbon footprint that we make. In this way we as a company make a joint effort together with the customers buying our products to minimise the greenhouse effect, says Martin Malmros, CEO and Group Director Aura Light International.
Climate Care is an organisation that sells carbon offsets. It tackles climate change on behalf of individuals and businesses by funding projects that avoid, reduce or absorb greenhouse gases such as CO2. The organisation offsets emissions through a range of projects within renewable energy, energy efficiency and forest restoration.
