Aura introduces the world’s most environmentally friendly fluorescent lamp

The lighting company, Aura, is currently in the process of launching the world’s first energy-saving fluorescent lamp in Long Life version. The Eco Saver fluorescent lamp uses up to 12 per cent less energy than a standard fluorescent lamp and lasts three times as long.

Aura supplies Long Life light sources that last at least three times as long as standard products on the market. The new energy-saving Long Life fluorescent lamp, Eco Saver, lasts three times longer than the equivalent standard product, meaning that only a third of light source replacements are required.

“With this unique fluorescent lamp, our customers can save money on both maintenance and energy while, at the same time, protecting the environment,” says Martin Malmros, CEO and Group Director at Aura Light International AB.

Eco Saver reduces the environmental impact by two thirds thanks to Long Life technology and reduces energy consumption by over 250 kWh per fluorescent lamp. The new fluorescent lamps can be used in existing fittings, making it easy to change to energy-saving lighting without needing to make further investments.

Eco Saver has a positive economic effect for customers, both through lower energy costs and lower maintenance costs.
