Aura Light launches the first presence sensor on the market for extremely cold environments

The Swedish lighting company Aura Light launches the first special sensor on the market for cold environments. This high-quality sensor is adapted for cold storage and outdoor applications and works at very low temperatures, down to -30°C.

The Infrared presence sensor is developed for low temperature areas and has a detection area of 40 meters. It is equipped with specially designed components to ensure reliability even at temperatures of down to -30 °C. Standard sensors usually stops working after -20°C which leads to large energy waste in cold environments and in countries with cold winters. This low temperature sensor is made of a special housing that protects against humidity and frost. It is IP65 classified which makes it suitable for outdoor applications.

“This innovative cold storage sensor from Aura Light provides an energy efficient lighting solution for this special segment. By using sensors you can reduce your energy costs significantly without compromising the quality. Now lighting control management is possible also for these types of demanding environments”, says Catharina Flink, VP Product Development, Aura Light International AB.

The Large Range PIR LT30 sensor is available as on/off or as dim versions (DALI/1-10V). The detection area can be adjusted to 90°/180°/270°/360° depending on the requirements. The sensor can be adjusted after installation by using a remote control. The sensor can help reduce energy consumption by up to 80%.
